Bio:  R&B has introduced a new voice to the helm of today’s music. Residing from New York City Walt Elson’s sound brings a familiar yet new take on R&B. Harnessing rich, powerful seductive bass/baritone vocals with writing and production of modern day styled classics Walt’s sound is driven to be the embodiment of new Music. In his Early goings from the age nine Walt learned to sing from singing in the choir at his church. Soon afterward at the age of 13 he started performing in several R&B groups as well as performing at local open mic’s in NYC such as “Wetlands” where the house band was the hip-hop group “The Roots”. The venue would have jam sessions where guest artist such as Common & Jaguar Wright” that would appear and participate. In 2005 Walt released his “Turn up the music EP” over seas thru the Goya Music/Vibemachine limited label. The new wave Hip-Hop/R&B EP delivered a strong buzz in the industry and on the underground about Walt’s sound. Later he would executive produced, write and performed on his “Inner City LP” release in 2007 on Vibemachine ltd. Walt promoted his single “Cop & Blow” touring with a live band at venues like Ashford & Simpson’s “Sugar bar” & the “Knitting Factory”. Also he was the opening act for VH1 Hip-hop honorees “Naughty by Nature” as well as the classic R&B group “Legendary Ladies of Skyy”. He also put together a hard edged hip-hop/soul classic music video directed by DJ Kiva for “Cop & Blow” that got lot’s of airplay online and at local cable stations. In 2009 Walt & Andy Gabry’ s put together their own label called “Rezilient Music”. They would release the Hip-hop/R&B single “Let me love you” in stores/online heating up airwaves. Rezilient Music The label has also expanded by scoring music for independent film’s like “Coolie Nation” with song “Man Made Inhumane Catastrophe’s”. Also Sundance Film Changing Tones Music’s “Strange Girls” Song “I don’t know why” performed by Walt and recently co-producing and performing the song “Already Know” for HBO’s Latino Film Festivals “Love Potion”. Definitely stay tune for this fresh new voice of R&B.
